The old nun from the monastery “Saint Stefan” near Ohrid – now in the 80th year – said:
– Last year I was on the day of Saint Erasmus (June 2 according to the old calendar) and I served as much as I could. When the guests left, I stayed overnight to rest. That night in my dream came two people and stood up on both of my sides. The one who was like a bishop, I thought he was Saint Erasmus. He told me:
– Are you sleeping nun?
And I said I was tired and I had to lie down. He continued:
– What kind of prayers are you reading?
I answered that I am illiterate and old and I pray to God as I can, in my own way. Then he said:
– You should read more often: “Our Father” (Oce Nash), “Mother of God” (Bogorodice Devo) and “Believe” (Veruj) and sometimes “Vozbranoj Vojevodje”.
And he came to me and I began to read “Our Father”, and they started slowly after me. Then the “Mother of God” and they slowly after me.
– Let’s read “Believe” now! – said the old man.
I started slowly because I do not know very well, so they began to read with a higher voice, and I after them. Then they once again told me to read these three prayers every day and they disappeared. I woke up and turned over. And now I often read these three prayers every day.
