A young married couple from Tetovo did not have an offspring for 9 years. They came to Ohrid for the weekend. On their return, on May 4, 2012, on the opposite side of the cave church “St. Katerina “, their car stopped. The engine was on, but the car can’t move from the spot. The car can also move backward without a problem.
The young lady thought of something. They decided to go to the cave church “St. Katerina”. The key of the door was in the women church servant. She gave them the key, but she couldn’t go with them, because at the moment there were visitors in the monastery “St. Erasmus” from Russia that came with two buses.
From the steep narrow road, the young man was most afraid, and they went back and ask the church woman to lead them.
Just as we climbed a little, the young lady began to cry loudly, even the mountain echoed from her cry. I asked her why she was crying. She revealed the reason to me – 9 years they have been married and have no offspring. We went to the church. And I give her the key. She opened the church. After examining the cave church, lighting the candles and praying, I told them:
“Come to worship in the cave church of St. Erasmus,” said Vesa.
After the completion of the ceremony in the cave church of St. Erasmus, Vesa recommended them to go to the monastery “St. Gorgi” in Rajčica where they will hear a proper prayer from the priest. They went after two days, on May 6 (Gjurgjovden). Archimandrite Partenij sang them prayer for offspring. For the same matter, there were another 22 women there.
And all 23 women became pregnant that year.
The Tetovo citizens got their son Kuzman. Because the way to getting him led through the cave church of the monastery “St. Erasmus,” they come every year to worship in “St. Erasmus” on his patron holiday, June 15, along with his son Kuzman, carrying appropriate gifts.
