On St. Paul’s Day (13.7) in 2016, the monastery “St. Erasmus” visited His Highness Archimandrite Giorgi from Romania, an 84 years old. Another four people came along, says Mrs. Vesa Grazhdani, who continued to tell …

He prayed for 10 years to come to the monastery and pray to St. Erasmus. As I was dressed in work clothes, I came out to meet him, and I said:

– Bless me Father.

The Father blessed me, and one of the companions who knew the Macedonian language said that the archimandrite had grace for the sake of being translucent.

I did not see you in the clothes or in the face, but I felt your heart. The shepherd knows the sheep by spirit. I want you to take me to the cave church to pray to St. Erasmus! – The Father said to me.

I took him by the hand. When we entered the cave church, he asked me to tell him the tropar of St. Erasmus, and then he said many prayers in the Romanian language. Something unheard has happened. The cave church gleamed, filled with an extraordinary pleasant smell, and from the icon of the Holy Mother of God flowed myrrh.

After praying in the cave church, I served the guests with coffee and tea, and it was feeling guilty that I didn’t have something to eat. I felt strange, I got chills, I sweat, I think that from every hair of my head is sweating. I dared and said to him:

Your high priesthood, at this moment, you look like Father Paisius Svetogorsky and Saint John Russian.

I was with St. Paisius for five years in Sveta Gora, and I’ve confessed with the old man Cleopas! – said the monk, adding:

I pray the Lord for once again to pray to Saint Erasmus here.

If not, I pray St Erasmus to see you in paradise.

The rare visitor and his guests left the monastery.

The guests weren’t pass through the main gate, when there comes Dr. Lydia from Skopje and brings a lot of food, fruits, vegetables, even 7 fishes. So, the guests were five and me and she, total of seven.

How did the woman know from anything to bring seven pieces?!

– How did you come in for a minute earlier to serve the guests? – I said.

– This is my fault. I showed selfishness. I thought only about two of us, and not for other visitors, said Dr. Lydia.

Note:

  1. On the worship of St. Erasmus in the cave church also came the monk John in Russia, from Bitola, on the holiday of St. Saints (All Saints) on June 26, 2016.
  2. Translucent man – a man with grace to see everything within a man; to see the future and the essence of the present vagueness.
