In the winter of 2000, I was returning from Skopje with a car loaded with materials for my company. It was a big storm, and I was alone. In Gostivar, the police didn’t allow traveling to Kichevo. They also warned me, pointing to the dangers of the loaded car. However, it was urgent to bring the materials to the firm. Risk – no risk, I continued my road.
Over the stone quarry, I felt some power and confidence. I overcame the stuck cars in the snow.
Before Straza, at one point, I had a feeling that an old man with a long beard was sitting next to me on the front seat. At the same time I felt a very pleasant smell, I can not determine what, but it was very pleasant.
When I came to Kichevo, the patrolmen ask me where I am going with such heavy cargo. They were amazed when I told them.
So far no one has arrived from Gostivar! – they said.
After two years of this event, I came to the monastery “St. Erasmus” for the first time. Whenever I was passing the road next to the monastery, I was making the sign of the cross. I haven’t seen the face of St. Erasmus before. When I saw it on frescoes and icons from the monastery, it was the same as the “old man” I was traveling with in 2000, that is, then with me was St. Erasmus. Since then, I have been regularly going to this monastery and, whenever I am passing this road, I am making the sign of the cross.
Saint Erasmus is my protector. My feelings toward Him are strong. On His Feast I bought a space for my company, on His Day, after long torture, my daughter was healed.
I use every opportunity, either alone or with my family, to worship St. Erasmus in the monastery, said Mr. Pavle Mihajloski from Ohrid, on his visit of St. Erasmus on July 1, 2016.
