Father Aleksij of the monastery “Saint Erasmus” lives as a hermit. He says he is not disturbed by anything. Only sometimes, after midnight, a voice comes calling him by its name:
“Aleksij, get up and go the church!”
Then he gets up and goes to church. And then he always sees that the candle is burned our, so it needs to be refilled.
And from many others, we have heard similar tales of the voice that awakens and calls for prayer. There are some cases that one voice wakes up those people who need to get up and go on the road. It is the voice of the angel keeper, who takes care of those who have dedicated themselves to the ministry.
