An Ohrid citizen at his estate near the monastery “St. Erasmus” had a small building in which he kept poultry and something similar. Through the summer of 2014, he and his sister-in-law went to the lake with a rowing-boat. The day was wonderful, the sky was clear, and the lake was calm. Suddenly a dark cloud appeared out of nowhere, the waves have risen and there was a danger of overturning the boat, and the two of them to be found in the lake. The man thought to seek salvation, protection from St. Erasmus:
“Saint Erasmus, please, have mercy, save us …”
In just 5-6 minutes, the sky cleared and the lake calmed down. After coming out on the land, the two of them went to light candles and to thank St. Erasmus who saved them.
