Among the numerous visitors to the monastery “St. Erasmus” on his day, June 15, there are also the residents of the village Volino. This visit, besides for health, life, happiness or fulfillment of a wish from the Holy Erasmus, has a commercial significance.

Namely, as a field village, Volino mostly lives from cereals, but it is also exposed to damage from rats. The Volino people on the feast take water from the water tap below the monastery. That water is sprinkled into the barn for rats to not eat the cereals.

Note: Currently there are no rats in the monastery, but on the day of the feast, it is possible for many rats to came and walk around people – says Vesa Grazdani.
